GIving Tuesday 2017, Oxford American, Women Writers Fund
This past weekend, the Legacy of Bryant competed in The Bandmasters Championship in Memphis, Tennessee where they were honored with a Superior Rating and placing 5th out of 23 bands!
But this isn't the first time The Legacy has brought home some outstanding awards this year. For the second year in a row, they captured the most prestigious award at the Showcase of Bands, The Brandon Award for outstanding musical performance of Class AAAA/ AAAAA bands. The Legacy also won several additional awards at the Showcase of Bands, including Superior Ratings for Band, Color Guard, Percussion, and Drum Majors, as well as individual awards for Outstanding in Class AAAAA for Percussion, Marching, Music, and General Effect, and Soloist (Makayla Shipe). They also won the prize for Outstanding Band in Class AAAAA overall!
After receiving all Division I's and Superior Ratings at the Arkansas Regional Assessment on October 16th, they were given the honor of advancing to the State Marching Band Competition where they will be performing on October 31, 2017. They performed in Owasso, Oklahoma for their first competitive performance this year receiving a Superior rating and placing 3rd in their division.
Congratulations to The Legacy of Bryant! Thank you for making your state and Davidson Law Firm proud! If you want to see them perform, you have two more opportunities. They will be competing in Jonesboro, Arkansas this coming Saturday, October 28, 2017, with their final performance, which you will not want to miss, at Little Rock’s own War Memorial on October 31, 2017.
Sydney joined the Davidson Law Firm team in July 2017. She came to us from Rainwater, Holt & Sexton where she primarily practiced Social Security Disability Law. She is licensed to practice in both Washington state and Arkansas.
